This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it， click here。 Of course as everyone else I started reading this after the percy jackson series。 In comparison to the percy jackson series and that this is the sequal， I was quite dissapointed Percy does not play a role in this first book。 But Rick Riordan did a really great job with the new characters。 I already like them quite a lot， but I think they are gonna be a lot greater later in the series。 With of course the other new character to come。

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it， click here。 This was a lot。 I did enjoy it。 But to get the parts that I disliked about this out of the way， I do think this was really dense and long and a little bit more convoluted that it should have been。 I like the way it set up the reveal of the second camp and I do think a little bit more length was needed to pull that off effectively and to introduce their characters and their backstories， but all the different battles and villains who Gaia was controlling got to be a bit much too keep track off whi This was a lot。 I did enjoy it。 But to get the parts that I disliked about this out of the way， I do think this was really dense and long and a little bit more convoluted that it should have been。 I like the way it set up the reveal of the second camp and I do think a little bit more length was needed to pull that off effectively and to introduce their characters and their backstories， but all the different battles and villains who Gaia was controlling got to be a bit much too keep track off while also trying to keep track of the new characters and the quest journey。Apart from that， though， I liked this。 Leo is probably my favorite character out of this。 I like his backstory， his powers， and what the prophecy entails from him。 I like Piper the most after Leo， I was wary of how they were going to play out the whole betrayal arc， but I'm happy with how that was handled and I'm glad that it didn't turn into whole chapters of Leo and Jason being mad at her。 I didn't like her dad though， like that's your parent， he should be there for you， not the other way around。 But oh well。 I also like Jason， I don't have anything against him， he just feels a bit bland to me so far。 I do like his connection with Thalia though and would like to see that explored in the future。I think the most interesting part about this is everything it leaves unsaid。 How will the future of the camps be handled？ Will Hera exchanging camp leaders be enough to bridge the differences between the camps and reach reconciliation？ What will Percy's experience at the other camp be like？ What kind of conflicts and infighting will emerge between the two camps and how will that be handled？ 。。。more

a very perfect sequel to the percy jackson series。 this book at everything at the right place， with the humor， plot and ending。 cliff hanger？？？ wow。 characters aren’t one dimensional， and each perspective is like shifting into a whole new world。 i could easily tell if the chapter was narrated by jason， piper or leo。 a good book overall。

Es el prime libro de Rick al que le doy menos de cinco estrellas pero siento que la ser una historia un poco más confusa también fue un tanto tediosa de leer pero me parece que tiene una trama exelente， conocer la perspectiva de otros personajes da un nuevo aporte a la historia aunque claro que extrañe a Percy。Cómo conclusiones es un exelente libro con una trama más extensa que estoy emocionada por saber cómo avanza。

Okay I was listening to the audiobook on my runs and yes I read this prolly a decade ago （ow） but I’m desperate to get sorta close to my book goal this year so I’m adding it sue me。 Five stars bc younger me loved it and I think it still holds up surprisingly well to 22 year old me。 Rick riordan stays being an unproblematic king 🫰🏻

More like 3。5 stars。 This book took me way too long to get through and part of that was just life but it also kinda dragged a little。 I did still enjoy it though， especially as the book went on。 I am quite pumped for the next book。
